Getting high for taxes and getting tatted up

Now that the 2012 presidential election is over, it's time to move on to the many issues confronting our country and we do have our share of issues.  The way I see it, our main issue is our national debt. No matter who won the election, that president needed to do whatever possible to pay off some of the crippling debt that our country finds itself in today.  Cutting taxes isn't going to help us do that, despite what those brain dead fools on the right are saying.
Political rhetoric aside, someone needs to be the adult in the room where our debt is concerned.  At this point, I don't think that anything should be taken off the table in an effort for us to become financially sound again.  I wouldn't be upset if we all got at least a little tax increase, especially those Americans making in excess of $250,000 a year.   We're spending entirely too much money on our military and we could stand to tighten our belts where a few other programs are concerned as well.

Personally, I'd like to see prostitution and marijuana legalized as a means of gaining a little more revenue.  I'm sure that the tax revenue from both would go a long way to clearing out at least some of that debt.
People are always gonna be smoking some herb, so why not utilize that as a means of tax revenue; and we all know that what prostitutes are selling will sell when bread don't.  Why wouldn't we legalize both?!? But hey, my focus today is marijuana.  I'm not smoking it, but I know many of you do. Hell if we legalize marijuana, every pizza joint and fast food restaurant will reap the benefits as well.  I wouldn't be surprised if some of you were high right now.  That alone would explain why some of you read this shit I write.
Okay....enough of that, let me move on to something just a tad bit more near and dear to me.  Something skin close, as a matter of fact.
Lately I've been thinking more and more of getting my first tattoo.  No, this late in the game, I still don't have a tattoo. But right now, I'm open to getting one like I've never been before.
I just don't know what to get.  I'm open to any suggestions you might have.  I would like for you to keep in mind that at this point in my life I'm fairly lean, but I don't have anywhere near what I would call a muscular body.  I've never owned a muscle shirt....and there's a reason why.  So whatever I do get, I don't want it sagging a few years from now when I enter my fifth decade.
I don't have enough body to put the Sistine chapel on my back and any tribal bands would probably just look like vines on me anyway.  No, I'm not sporting any moobs, but I'm not super skinny either.  I've got a semi-lean 6'1, 180 pound frame these days.

Oh and I most definitely won't be getting any facial tattoos....that's out.  I'm not really sure where I would put a tattoo either.  I'm gonna probably need some help with that too.  At this point I'm not sure what I should get, so I'm open to suggestion.
I promise that no matter what I end up getting, I won't be getting any shit like this.  So tell me, what do you think I should get and where do you think I should get it?!?

  1. I have saying prostitution should be legalized and taxed for years! Think of the revenue!

My issue with legalizing cush is how do you REALLY monitor it? I've never smoked a joint ever in my life but what woule be an acceptable amount to smoke as not to impaire driving or working? How would you for real stop people from growing their own supply? How wouold you tax that? Even if you had legal weed houses folks gon grow their own stuff. Also how would you even test weed levels in your body? Do you really want to leave that in the hands of a cop? Or overcrowd jails even more waiting ontests? I think the revenue would be outrageous but there are too many what if scenarios.

    1. Seriously, that stuff that prostitutes are hawking will sell when bread don't. I don't imagine that prostitution will ever go away. We might as well tax it and regulate it.

We already have laws around intoxication Tarsha, whether public or when driving. I don't see that as a big issue. There's gotta be a way to measure just how toked out someone is. I'm sure one of my pot smoking regular followers can tell us that Tarsha. Just like beer and tobacco is sold now, weed could be sold like that. Plus we could make it illegal to grow your own....it's illegal now.

By the way, everytime I go to your blog I end up getting hungry. The food on your blog always looks so damned good.

  2. Legalizing prostitution seems a good idea, but... I was station in Germany were prostitution was legal if you had a license. I was talking to a lady who had gotten angry with me when I asked her want she did for a living. I guess my face said it all when she said she was a prostitute. As far as she was concern, it was a job that paid well. Anyway, to eat crow I held a conversation about it. It seems that once a month, they had to get a check up to keep their license current. If they got any disease they had to stop work until it was cleared up. But in the case they got something like HIV they had health care for life. I can't remember the price for the license, but I remember calculating it out as less then a week of cheap tricks. The health care would kill any tax money made on prostitution. And if they try to tax each trick, please... lol ..

    1. I don't know that the healthcare aspects of legalizing prostitution would drive up costs. We all have universal healthcare now right? Nah I don't see it. If anything, getting a disease should require that they can't work in that industry again....but they can always do something else.

1manview can you imagine how a conversation at the unemployment office would go with an out of work prostitute?!? Did you 'ho today?!? Did you try to 'ho today?!?

  3. Legalizing pot would help alot. Not only generating new Tax Revenues, but also eliminating the proponderous of drug arrests made on minorities, along with the lengthy sentences. It could possibly shutdown cartels, and the drug trade. Think about it. Dayum, i thought prostitution in its highest form was already legal...ish been going on for decades...so why not? As for that tattoo, try your back or upper forarm...those are 2 very sexy places that won't droop.

    1. One things for sure, legalizing pot sure as hell wouldn't hurt. If anything it would drive up revenue at fast food restaurants, pizza joints and Little Debbie's stock would probably go through the roof.

Okay back or upper forearm.....got it.

  4. Some good ideas you got there Reggie. Yeah why not legalize them both. But a thought popped into my head would you legalize crack, coke?. They are both big business also. Often ruining many lives in the process. May make for safer lives.
Funny, I almost got a tattoo on my birthday. still considering it, even though I once said I never would. I was thinking the wrist.
Yes Reggie, I think the arm would look nice.

  6. Legalize prostitution? Hmmm, interesting. But, that's not going to happen anytime soon. Evangelicals would loose their minds. As for weed, well it's legal or almost legal in quite a few States, so why not legalize it all over the country.

And about that tattoo; let your wife decide what tatt you should get. She knows you best, right?

  7. Reggie,
I have always thought that Prostitution and weed selling should be legalized and taxed. I lived in Germany for 5 years. The red light district was always the busiest section of any German city I ever went to. The women were clean.... there was never any reports of rape and the diseases were kept to a minimum. I am sure that there was a seedy aspect to the business, but as far as the revenue that went back into the economy due to taxes? Shit, we are talking tens of MILLIONS. and this was in the 90's. Imagine what it is now. I even heard that in a unit on the same base as me there were two females that moonlighted at the red light on the weekends. They had to pay German Taxes on the money earned, but talk about supplementing your income. And in Amsterdam where drugs are legal, you can go to a restaurant and the waiter will bring you 2 menus..one for food and drinks and one for whatever weed you prefer. And there are no problems..None.

    As far as the tattoo...
What you get and where you get it is entirely up to you. I can only offer a suggestion on what NOT to get...

DO NOT get a tramp stamp....
DO NOT get a woman's name..unless it is your mother or daughter..
DO NOT get a tattoo on your Johnson...

    And....
Nothing stupid like a cartoon character or a flower or anything in a language that you do not speak..ie... NO Chinese,Japanese,Hindu or Martian script.
Other than that man, the choice is yours.

    1. We could learn a lot from the Germans Dirty Red.....well, except for all that Holocaust bullshit. But we should seriously consider legalizing booty and weed. I mean, there would be no end to spokesmen....Cheech and Chong, Snoop Dogg and Bill Clinton could just go ahead and enhale.

Do men get tramp stamps?!? I mean, straight men?!?

Do men actually get tattoos on their manhood?!? Really?!?

Thanks for the advice Dirty Red.

  8. As long as they keep the prostitution in doors I can't see any issues. Ain't Mary Jane legal in some states? (with a doctor's prescription?)

tattoo on you Johnson? too damn weird, definitely gay. I once had a lady friend show me a tattoo in a place where the sun don't shine, still traumatized. arms sound about right, just don't tat anything ironic, and definitely no cartoon characters. I will never have a tattoo done, don't see the point. what does it signify? body art for arts sake? spiritual?

Then you won't have to pay the high cost of removal, when you decide you HATE somebody else's choice. I heard tattoo removal is many times more expensive AND painful than a tattoo itself.

  12. Marijuana and prostitution legalized and taxed, sure why not. The only thing is it will become organized and corporate and traded on the stock exchange. Marijuana will be handled by Phillip Morris et al where it will be boxed and branded and the politicians will still have the police go after the small time distributor because their political contributions won't be anywhere as near as the big corporations. Prostitution would be controlled by companies only interested in the bottom line, offering All The Pussy You Can Eat Sundays at Trix-R-Us just to beat the other guys by watering down their own game.

As far as a tattoo goes, don't listen to anyone else about it. There is nothing more powerful than a man who is secure in himself and his needed. If you want to slap something on at the end of your dick or any other place that thrills you, then do it. If you want to listen to other people and live by their silly rules, confinements and restrictions then don't even bother about thinking about it. A tattoo is supposed to be a reflection of part of who you are. It's supposed to say "I am Reggie and here I stand," and not, "Some nameless bozo down the street thought this was acceptable for me."

Your best bet is to get someone who is recommended, sit down and explain what it is that you're after. Then have him or her design something that you like and unique to your tastes. That way your not just getting pattern that's been sitting on the wall for the last 5 years that every other person and their sister Sally has tattooed already on their left butt cheek.

The more time goes by, the more I appreciate the look of clean virgin skin. Especially on men. Tattoos on men are like piercings and makeup on men---just not sexy to me. Nevertheless these you shall not eat among those that chew the cud or those that have cloven hooves: the camel, because it chews the cud but does not have cloven hooves, is unclean to you; the rock hyrax, because it chews the cud but does not have cloven hooves, is unclean to you; the hare, because it chews the cud but does not have cloven hooves, is unclean to you; and the swine, though it divides the hoof, having cloven hooves, yet does not chew the cud, is unclean to you. 2. -Legalizing marijuana is the best thing for this country. It would reduce our debt, lower the number of men and women in jail or under supervision for marijuana charges, and give law enforcement time to fight real crimes.

  18. I got my first tattoo a few years ago and, no, I'm not a young chicken. LOL! I got something that is significant to me. I even wrote a blog post about my experience. The artist was really cool and talented. I gave him an idea of what I wanted and he hooked me up.

It took me a few months to figure out what I wanted after looking at hundreds of tats but I decided I didn't want anything anybody else had. So choose something that means something to YOU and that you are willing to live with. I have mine on my upper arm and can be seen when I wear most short sleeves. Oh yeah, it hurts like HELL the first minute or so when they start but then you get used to it. Kinda like hundred bee stings at once. I think it took several hours for him to finish. Good luck!

Don't pick some random flash tattoo (one off the books), which are called flash because they tend to catch your eye and have minimal real significance or meaningful. 22. Reggie a far fetched suggestion here....seeing as we all require a level of personal security why not consider the idea of a lock and key tat one of "DO NOT ENTER" a sinage across the butt at least if you were to ever get stranded at a gay nudist convention you're sure to not get hassled lol.

OK on a serious note I don't have a tat but find them sexy and depending if placed somewhere strategically pleasing to the eye, for example just below the navel looks good on a fairly toned body.

However in your case I sense you are going through a process of soul searching so why not tap into your core and really ask why a tat is going to nourish your being. I also agree with other in regards to choosing a symbolic gesture that will have a meaning to you looking within yourself.

  23. OK in reference to Prostitution and legalisation erhhhh okay so that means everyone knows the score there is clarity no murky this and that. The whole nation gets to enjoy a shaggathon. As long as the small print clearly excludes children then yeah (we live in a world where people use legalised systems to take the piss so had to consider that too, not to say shit aint happening already)

But also do you think the small print would exclude prostitutes frolicking with the likes of sadomasochist who at times revel in the infliction of pain as part of their sexual gratification?. Alright different strokes for different folks and all.

But what if a prostitute who isnt into all that came across the "sadist" who enjoys inflicting the pain during the sexual acts?. Do you think part of the legalised system would have to include a pre-selection sexual preference checklist for it to work?

Hmmm......I guess as long as there is some sort of monitoring in place. Just saying!!

I have thought about one more--to honor my grandfather who died a little over a year ago to cancer. I'll probably have that one custom designed, too. I still haven't made up my mind.
