This is why I'm in favor of the death penalty!!!

No this isn't about Karl, I actually like Karl Childers. Karl Childers was a victim of his own circumstances........such is life. Still, since Karl killed his mother, Karl should have been put to death.........but that's another blog entry.
I've always been a staunch supporter of the death penalty because of people like these two dirtbags below. The way I see it, they're oxygen thieves. The rest of us need the air that they're wasting by breathing it. If it were up to me, all people like this would receive the death penalty. These two geniuses committed a home invasion three years ago in Connecticut. By the time it was over the father was beaten to within an inch of his life with a baseball bat; and the two daughters and their mother had been sexually assaulted and all three were dead.
I don't think that my tax dollars should be used to feed people like this. Scumbags like this need to receive the death penalty; and as far as I'm concerned electric chairs, firing squads and lethal injections are far too expensive for the likes of them. They should be hung by the neck until they're dead. A good rope could be used again and again and again. I also believe that it should be televised with a Pay Per View option. Now that's must see TV!!!
As far as I'm concerned, the type of person that would do something like this, doesn't deserve to live. Even with the few reservations that I do have about capital punishment, I don't that I could ever be in favor of abolishing it. Rather than pushing back on it, I'm in favor of speeding up the process and substantially increasing the number of prisoners executed.

  3. Mizrepresent once you sit back and realize that these two men are somebody's neighbors, the death penalty really doesn't sound like such a bad idea.

  4. Bayou Creole I honestly don't know that I'd want to watch it, but I sure as hell think that the option ought to be available.

  5. Absolute monsters Moanerplicity. I wouldn't give their executions a second thought. Their miserable lives should be wiped out with no more difference than one gives the removing of dogshit from the bottom of a shoe.

  6. But we live in an age when everyone makes excuses for poor behavior/results.
The PPV option would be great - the profits made would pay for the execution.
Things won't change for a while - there is too much money involved with keeping people on trial and then in jail/prison.

  7. We're wasting money doing that John. There's no sense in spending our hard earned dollars to feed shit like this...or child molesters or murderers.

    Kill 'em all I say!!!

  8. I'd be in favor of the death penalty if the justice system didn't get it wrong so much and if it wasn't so biased against Black people.

  9. im with you on this specially on open an shut cases like this. what else is there to consider? they need their subscription to breathing canceled. a person who doesn't value innocent life has no worth.

  10. i remember this story and it was heart breaking. they should have been dead. PERIOD!!!

  11. Just for arguments sake LOL, what do you think of this quote Reggie and all...

"Deserve death? I dare say he does. Many who live deserve death. And some who die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be so eager to deal out death in judgment. For even the very wise can not see all ends"

or this one which has a slightly different stance.. snicker

"As far as I'm concerned there ain't no excuse/For the raping and the killing and the child abuse
And I've got a way to put an end to all that mess

Just take them rascals out in the swamp
Put 'em on their knees and tie 'em to a stump
Let the rattlers and the bugs and the alligators do the rest

The Good Book says it so I know it's the truth
An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth"

  13. @25champ - Hah, exactly. @Reggie, the reason i hadn't been in favor is because the "Justice System" seldom issues out justice, and when it comes to the black man, it's more wrong than right.

  14. Ahhh haaa Val, I was waiting on that. Sad isn't it?!? That so many things in our country come down to black and white.

If you reference my last paragraph, that's the very first reservation that I was referring to, when I mentioned those few reservations. I firmly believe that rather than pulling back on this that we ought to be putting an express lane in, in every state. I also believe that in every state the responsibility for getting it right should be squarely placed on the shoulders of the police and the prosecutors. If it's found out that they were less than honest, then they should face the same fate of the persons they sentenced. If witnesses are found to be less than honest, then they should face the same fate as well. If the defendent is guilty though, I think they should die.

Our system is flawed. We need to fix it.

Richard Pryor used to say that when you go down to the courthouse expecting to see justice, that's all you see "just us"......that's gotta change.

So does the ability for people to apply "guess work" associated with these crimes. Either people are guilty or not. One person shouldn't get life in prison and the next person get death. The ability for the jury to "relate" to the defendent or not to relate, must be removed from the equation.

...and by the way, some of us need to die as well.

I don't want to discriminate, I want to kill all of the bastards...black, white, yellow, brown or plaid.

If I can be unbiased, so can everyone else.

  15. John that will forever be the problem as long as "people" are involved in the process.

That's why when there are people who will say that things in this country don't run along "black and white" lines I tend to chuckle. Sometimes people are completely full of shit.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Absolutely, I would agree completely with that Liam!!!

  17. Roschelle that's just it. I read the news daily and I don't remember this. I should because the particulars are so shocking and yet all the bad fucked up things that go on in this country sometimes run together. It's all the same story everyday.

It's a shame when we allow people to walk out of jail when they've done things like this. Anyone who does something like this needs to die.

  18. My dear brother Shady Grady, I don't care if the quotes come from Charley Daniels or the Bible or Gandalf; if they make sense then I'm all for them. We've gotta do better in this country. One of these days we'll probably be eating our prisoners.

I'd vote for a Hobbit as POTUS if I thought that it would move this country forward.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Champ we've gotta close ranks on people like this. We have to take a hard line, it's us or them........period.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Mizrepresent I have serious concerns about that too, but sometimes we need to die as well.

    ReplyDelete
  21. ...I'd watch it, I'd have no problem watching it. But, I'm sorta morbid.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm going to be self-contradictory here. I always say, how can we kill people for the crime of killing, since the Bible says thought shall not kill. BUT, if there was ever a crime that deserved the death penalty , this is it. I'm imagining if that was my wife and children. And then suddenly I am all for it. I would want them to die in the same manner as those they killed.

  23. These aren't human beings they are animals and dangerous animals should be put to death.

I was never an advocate of the death penalty because of the flawed justice system. In this case, killing them won't reverse what they did but why should they continue breathing, when they ended the lives of innocent people?

This was a case of unspeakable evil Manson Family style. If they were executed, I doubt they'd be missed.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Fuck it Bayou Creole!!! I'd sit there and watch it with you I suppose.

  25. Daij if the Bible teaches us not to kill, then why is there so much death and destruction in God's name?!?

How come these conservative ministers around the country advocate killing people in the Middle East?!? How come that blowhard minister on television advocated killing Hugo Chavez by assassination a couple of years ago?!?

The Bible is full of violence all in the name of God.......right?!?

    ReplyDelete
  26. If we did kill them, we wouldn't be killing much Jason.

    ReplyDelete
  27. If only it was cut and dried. I'd say flip the 'lectric on 'em!
But then too often innocent folks get caught up so I am conflicted with the whole death penalty issue.

    ReplyDelete
  28. It should be cut and dry in a Democracy like ours Anna Renee; but alas, at the end of the day the reality is that people suck.

I'm all for killing all of the guilty ones; no matter if they're black, white, brown, yellow or plaid.

    ReplyDelete
  29. The Bible doesn't say that we shouldn't kill but that we should not 'murder".
Something got lost in the translation.

  30. Hello SMichelle!!!

Thanks for stopping by, please come again.

  31. Thou shalt not kill......sounds pretty clear to me John.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Uh huh... OUR Bible says that - but what about the original texts?
Just look up "Ten Commandments" on Wikipedia or learn to read Greek (The Decalogue).
"Thou shaly not murder" is a lot different than "Thou shalt not kill".

    ReplyDelete
  33. John it might also say "Thou shalt not sodomize they neighbor, but ain't nothing wrong with getting a little head".

It's all Greek to me John.
