Osama Bin Laden and Captain CombOver

Well between the operation against Osama Bin Laden and his dealings with Captain CombOver regarding his birth certificate, I'd say that our president has had a very interesting week.  While I've been critical of our president in the past (and I'm sure I will be in the future); I also recognize the differences in him and both his predecessor (that oxygen thief) and what we might have ended up with in The Oval Office after the last election (Dumb and Dumber).  I don't believe he's a perfect man; but I don't believe that there are any perfect men, just perfect intentions; and truth be told, I'll take him in a pinch.  Can anyone even imagine what might happen during a Trump Administration?!?
President Obama is a thinking man with strong convictions.

Lets take a moment to compare Barack Obama and The Donald.

One of these men is a cartoon character and the other man is a serious leader of men.  One of these men is known for thoughtfully reflecting before commenting and the other one is known to shoot from the hip and to never check his mouth.  I only wish that my fellow Americans would take the time to sit down and think for themselves and figure out just which role is applicable for each man.  One of them is a complete egotistical megalomaniac and the other is a deep thinker. One of these men has something to hide (under his toupee) and one of them gave the orders to kill someone that had been hiding from American justice since the 90s after putting serious thought into the consequences. One of these men runs his mouth and goes through pretty women the way Van Camps goes through pork 'n beans; and the other one is about the serious business of running this country.

Serious times call for serious leaders.  As far as I'm concerned, the one we've got now is about as serious as they come.  Oh he's got some flaws, but with all things being equal, he's been a pretty good leader for us over the last few years.

We could have done a lot worse than President Barack Hussein Obama!!!

  2. Well I'm not American. I'm from the UK but I recognise your description Reggie - a serious leader of men doing a tough job.. If I were American - I too would be proud!. Hi five to all from the home of Big Ben

  3. Dawna when Osama Bin Laden was killed, the world became a better, safer place. I don't make that statement easily or recklessly. He was an enemy to both my country and yours, but there will always be people like him.

When I look at Donald Trump, I see why it's so very easy for the rest of the world to hate us. There are people who will not understand that simple statement. Those people, are people that I couldn't explain it to anyway.

    God save the queen!!!

  4. Yeah... it's funny that people refer to Obama as a "One-term POTUS".
Each Republican candidate seems to be closer to the fringe than the next.
I talk ish about many of Obama's choices but this week seems to be a good one for the guy.

  6. you know reggie... i agree with you... and normally i dont voice my opinion on political or "sensitive" matters... im not an american and i was once told that my opinion didnt matter anyways... so i tend to keep it to myself... but i like obama.

he is actually doing most of the things he promised... is he not? he is trying to make it better for all americans... he is a man who believes in his country and equality... he is a GOOD leader of your men and women in my opinion... i dont know why he still isnt getting the respect he deserves? i mean... i have a good idea... but... ill just keep that to myself... and say people are stupid.

^5... i liked this blog reggie :) you da man!

  9. John no matter how much the conservative talking heads try (and they will) to take this week away from BO, I don't think they'll ever be able to.

  10. Michelle your opinions are just as valid as anyone else's.

The person saying that to you was probably insecure themselves.

  12. Try as they might Mr. Chap, they just can't take the bringing to justice of OBL away from BO.

    It is what it is.

  14. The Donald may be a brilliant businessman, but sometimes he comes across as a bit of a buffoon. I honestly don't think that he's capable of accepting criticism and not responding to it.

  15. Happy/Sad moment....hoping and praying no retaliation due to the killing of Osama takes place....but when you have a mindset of "no fear"...... We will see.

  17. Honestly PrisCilla I think they're just about done. But there is a level of terrorism that you really can't protect yourself from. Something will probably happen again in the future.....and we'll kill that guy too.

It's sad, can't we all just get along?!?

  18. I shudder to think what could have happened if Donald Trump would have become our next president... This American would have happily moved to Canada.

  19. I'm not moving anywhere MlvLatina. This is my country just like it's the Donald's. He was nothing but bluster and bullshit. But then again, that's all he's ever really been. I doubt rather seriously if he'd have been able to go through an entire campaign season without getting angry at some reporter's questions or some other candidate's accusation. He would have attacked them, like he's always done. Sometimes it seems as though he's got more balls than brains.
